Frequently Asked Questions

Answers To Commonly Asked Questions

What is home healthcare?

Home healthcare at Virtue Care Services encompasses a comprehensive range of medical and personal care services provided in the comfort and privacy of our clients' homes. It is specifically designed to cater to the needs of children and young adults under 21 who are medically fragile, have special medical needs, requiring assistance with daily living (ADL'S) or medical care.

How are your employees screened?

Our employees undergo rigorous screening, including pre-employment tests for reliability and integrity, comprehensive criminal background and DMV checks, verified references, and adherence to a drug-free policy, with all possessing current car insurance and workman’s compensation coverage. Social Security and I-9 verification are completed.

Do I need to pay for services?

No upfront payment is required for our services. If you or your loved one is under 21 and eligible for the GAPP program, the services are covered by Medicaid and won't incur any cost.

Am I required to sign a long-term contract?

No, Virtue Care Services does not lock you into long-term contracts. We bill only for the actual hours our caregivers spend in your home. A Service Agreement will outline our commitment to your chosen services and schedule. Our nurse is always ready to reassess and advise on care adjustments as needed, and you can alter or cancel services anytime without penalties.

Is my child guaranteed to get approved for GAPP services?

Approval for the GAPP program is not guaranteed. Each application is evaluated by the Department of Community Health’s medical review team using the information collected by Virtue Care Services during our client intake. While Virtue Care Services has a high success rate with a 95% approval rating for pre-qualified applicants from our initial consultations, we cannot guarantee approval for any case.

Who can benefit from home healthcare services?

Virtue Care Services is ideal for children and young adults under 21 with special medical needs, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic illnesses, wheelchair bound or living with disabilities. Our services also support overwhelmed families, providing relief and expert care in their homes. These families can greatly benefit from our compassionate services, available throughout Georgia, including Clayton, Fulton, Henry, Fayette, Cobb, Gwinnett, Newton, Spalding, Rockdale and Dekalb counties.

Is Virtue Care Services licensed?

Yes. Virtue Care is a state approved and licensed home healthcare agency in Georgia. We operate under the requirements of the law and is appropriately licensed based on local and state regulations.

What is the process to start home healthcare

services?

To begin, call us at 678-528-2429. We will schedule a free in-home assessment or consultation with you and your family. We'll work with you and your family to understand your needs and create a personalized care plan. One of our experienced registered nurses will complete the initial assessment.

How many hours of service will my child be approved for?

The number of service hours your child receives is determined by the Department of Community Health's medical review team, based on your child's medical requirements and activities of daily living needs (ADL's).
